Trainer Frank Delano on ‘The Real “Money in the Bank”: Building Relationships with Youth in Care’
There are many different theories about what helps young people in care “get better” but very few would debate the importance of the power and have an impact on of relationships. In this highly interactive workshop the presenter will use his long held philosophy of “Money in the Bank” as a foundation in looking at techniques to build healthy relationships with children with an emphasis on the importance of just simple kindness…especially when a youth is acting in a way that would not instinctively raise that emotion in us. Participants will reflect on the importance of having relationship “money in the bank” with a child to draw out in times of crisis and speculate on how and when the young person may draw out that “money” long after they leave care. Topics covered include:

**Qualities of a healthy adult-child relationship

**But, if I am kind won’t they just walk all over me?
