How to Write Effective Plan of Cares

In residential care, there is only one thing to ever be certain of and that is ‘paperwork’! As Child and Youth Counsellors, we are responsible for not only reflecting information about a child or youth’s time in the program but doing it accurately, subjectively and with the skill necessary to offer a professional perspective regarding the child’s behaviour, needs and treatment planning.

This one-day training will focus on key area’s to examine when writing a plan of care, ensuring accuracy, context, professionalism and keeping it strength-focused. It will look at writing effective goal statements that make sense to everyone.
